NEW! MIHA Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough New Zealand $13.99
MIHA is the Māori word for “baby whale”. New Zealand is situated on what is known as the “Humpback Highway” between Antarctica and Tonga. The humpbacks travel back and forth along this corridor every year and can often be found off New Zealand’s coastline, rearing their young. The Māori people have always been ocean conservation warriors, and the symbolism of a female whale rearing and protecting her young calf, is sacred to them. The wine is fabulously expressed on the nose, displaying Kiwi, Green Melon, Kaffir Lime, and Jasmine aromas which follow on the intensely flavorful palate offering excellent vibrancy and length.
